Beautiful linen vintage table runner or dresser scarf featuring hand-embroidered images of a young lady in blue dress and sun bonnet inside a heart shape, embellished with a flower garland and red ribbon bow. The heart shape is created with an outline of french knots in black. Outline stitches of the girl's dress, arms, face, and hat are done in backstitch, while the details of her dress and hat are made with satin stitches and french knots. The design is repeated on each end of the runner scarf. Bordering the centre of the runner is scalloped outline stick in black, with evenly-spaced flowers and flower garlands in each corner. Bordering the entire runner is an delicately crocheted ecru lace edging attached to the runner with a blanket stitch. There is one brown mark on the runner, which may be easily removed by laundering. This beautiful work of art comes to you freshly ironed and sealed in a plastic sleeve for protection in shipping.
