Vintage hearts and daisies white Battenburg lace doily. This large doily is perfect for Valentine's Day with its hearts and flowers theme! Delicately made with Battenburg lace tape and hand crochet, the centre is composed of four heart-shaped designs with a four-leaf daisy inside each, all joined to a daisy in the very middle of the design. These hearts are surrounded by a ring of small daisies connected to the centre design by delicate crochet. The outer-edge trim is made by joining lace tapes in a swirl design to larger daisies evenly spaced around the edge. There are no stains on this doily at all, but I did find two areas of broken stitches - very minor - you have to look closely to find them. I can send you pictures of those two broken stitches if you'd like. This is a beautiful piece to use as a candle mat or under a lamp on your nightstand or end table. It would also be pretty in a shadow box, just for display!
